One of the things I tell clients all the time is that there really isn’t a “wrong” choice when it comes to entertainment. Almost any entertainment can add something special to an event. The trick is choosing entertainment that fits your guests, your venue, and the kind of experience you want people to have.
After more than 25 years in the entertainment industry, I’ve helped plan everything from corporate events and festivals to weddings, galas, grand openings, and private parties. One thing I’ve learned is that the most successful events aren’t necessarily the ones with the biggest budgets. They’re the ones where the entertainment is thoughtfully planned.
If you’ve ever attended the Bayou City Art Festival, you know it’s not a small event. It’s one of the largest outdoor art festivals in Houston, happening twice a year in two very different settings, downtown and Memorial Park. Thousands of people come through over the course of the weekend, and what most people see is a vibrant, seamless experience filled with art, music, and energy. What they don’t see is everything happening behind the scenes to make that possible.
Planning an event is exciting, but one of the first questions almost everyone asks is:
