Founded over 20 years ago in Houston, The Trade Entertainment is a family-owned company with a passion for creating unforgettable experiences. Owners Charlie and Tamara Perez, high school sweethearts and artists themselves, bring a unique perspective to the industry. Their journey began with a decade of travel, backpacking through 15 countries and immersing themselves in diverse cultures, which fueled their love for music, dance, and performance. After settling back in Houston and expanding their family with three sons, they combined their artistic backgrounds to create The Trade Entertainment. Today, they’re excited to share their vision and passion for exceptional entertainment with you.
Charlie Perez is an entrepreneur and musician. Charlie is a native Houstonian and his artistic journey began when he attended The High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (HSPVA). He graduated from University of Houston with an Anthropology degree focusing on Musicology. Charlie has toured the world playing drums and percussion. He has recorded with numerous artists including Khruangbin. You can catch him performing in Houston up to seven days a week with one of his bands. He is trusted for booking music entertainment for regular weekly venues, corporate events, weddings, and special events.
Tamara Perez is a dancer and choreographer. Lebanese by origin but a Houstonian at heart, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of Houston with a BA in Psychology. She is co-owner of BellaDonna Dance Company and has personally trained many of the city’s top belly dance performers. She was one of the most sought-after dance artists in Houston for over 15 years. She has an eye for spotting talent and working with performers to develop their craft.
