Founded over 20 years ago in Houston, The Trade Entertainment (TTE) is a family-owned company driven by a passion for creating unforgettable experiences. Owners Charlie and Tamara Perez, high school sweethearts and artists themselves, bring a unique creative perspective to the world of live entertainment. Like the city we call home, our strength lies in our diversity. Houston’s multicultural energy is reflected in everything we do – from the talent we represent to the experiences we create.
Our journey began with a decade of world travel, backpacking through 15 countries and immersing ourselves in different cultures. After returning to Houston and raising our family, we combined our backgrounds in music and dance to build The Trade Entertainment into a trusted, full-service entertainment and production company.
Charlie Perez is an entrepreneur and accomplished musician who studied at the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and graduated from the University of Houston, with a focus in Anthropology and Musicology. He has toured internationally and recorded with artists including Khruangbin, remaining deeply connected to Houston’s music scene with a strong passion for festivals and live event production.
Tamara Perez is a respected dancer and choreographer, Lebanese by origin and Houstonian at heart. A Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Houston, she is co-owner of BellaDonna Dance Company and has trained many of the city’s top performers, with over 15 years as a sought-after artist.
With roots in both the live music world and cultural performance, our work is shaped by real artistic experience, not just event production. This foundation allows us to approach every event with creativity, authenticity, and a deep understanding of what makes performances truly memorable.
